Music: Visiting Assistant Professor of Music - 000080M
The Department of Music at the University of Richmond invites applications for a full-time musicologist at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor. The position is a one-year sabbatical replacement beginning August 2018 with possible one-year renewal.
Successful candidates will specialize in any era of Western Art music and have experience connecting scholarship and creative work to innovative undergraduate pedagogies in a liberal arts environment. A secondary specialty in other twentieth and twenty-first century genres is preferred. Assigned courses will include major and non-major courses in Western music, research methods, and opera, with the opportunity to teach courses in the candidate’s research specialty. The teaching load is four courses per semester.
